  • 100 AI calls per month
  • 100 MB total photo storage
  • Single tenant
  • All features available — only the quotas differ

Real household scope, not a demo. 100 MB is plenty for the slice of your home you actually want catalogued — the garage, the basement storage, the workshop, the moving-day stack, the kids' bins, the holiday decorations. Most people inventory specific zones (the high-value or hard-to-find stuff), not every drawer in every room. Free is sized for that.

The real lever is photo resolution. High-res phone shots run 3-6 MB each — you'll fit a few dozen. Drop the resolution (or let Stash's re-encode pass do it for you) and you'll fit hundreds. Trade-off is yours: the AI surfaces (item detection, tag suggestions) prefer higher-res inputs but still work on lower-res — accuracy drops gracefully. Curate what's worth keeping, delete what isn't, repeat.

If you sign up, you stay — log in every six months. Existing free accounts don't get squeezed when the operator scales free-tier capacity for new signups. The one trade: free accounts inactive for 180 days get archived to cold storage (B2) and the local slot freed up. Archived accounts are recoverable: sign back in, ask for restore, your data comes back. Pro accounts are never archived for inactivity. Funded by active subscribers; see where your $ goes for the math.

  • 10× the AI assistance. 1,000 calls/month — ingest big piles, get tag suggestions on the photos you took today, try AI box-matching without watching the meter. Suggestions, not certainty — see "About the AI here" below.
  • 5.0 GB total photo storage. Covers a full household inventoried in detail — every item, every side, every serial number you actually want a picture of. Flat cap on what's on disk; doesn't reset monthly.
  • 30 AI label-art generations per month. Custom illustrated labels for moving-day boxes; the kind of polish that makes the binder feel like the project you actually wanted to do instead of the one you grudgingly did. Free tier: 0.
  • Higher daily ceilings. Your moving-day session doesn't bump caps mid-flow.

Right for households that want to inventory the whole place, not just the closet that's making you anxious today.

About the AI here

The AI features in Stash are probabilistic math, not magic. They're useful — most of the time. They also hallucinate item names, miss things in a cluttered photo, and occasionally invent a "blue mug" that doesn't exist. That's how this technology works in 2026; being honest about it is part of how we earn your trust.

The job isn't "give me a perfect catalogue out of thin air." It's "get me 80% of the way there with very little effort, so I care enough to walk the last 20%." Every AI guess in stash is an editable suggestion — accept the good ones, fix the silly ones, move on. We can't fix your life. We can help you find your camping gear in November.

If a feature is working badly on your data, the in-app feedback widget (lower-right of every page once you're signed in) lands directly in our triage queue. That is how this actually gets better.
